We are looking for a Finance Business Partner on an ideally full time basis to join our Finance team. As a member of our friendly and fast‑paced team, you will provide financial support and guidance to Heads of and Directors around the business to enable them to deliver the Operational Plan and for the financial targets to be met. You will also provide support to and deputise for the Finance Director on matters of operational finance including the production of reports and representation at leadership meetings as required. The role will work in a hybrid manner where you will work both from our office in Leicester and from home.
What you will be doing:
- You will be one of the key contacts within the Finance department for all areas of Finance, including result reporting, variance analysis, budget and forecast preparation, statutory compliance and financial representation within wider company projects.
- You will report to and work closely with the Finance Director.
- You will build strong cross‑functional relationships with budget holders and leaders across the business to facilitate and embed a clear understanding of the NEBOSH numbers including cost and revenue drivers.
- You will support decision making across the business with the provision of clear and concise financial information delivered across a variety of media and channels.
- You will build a bridge between the finance unit and operational units to enable a simple and effective flow of financial information, expertise and knowledge.
About You:
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- An energetic finance professional, preferably qualified but part qualified and QBE will be considered, with proven experience in a finance business partnering or similar role.
- Excellent data manipulation and report writing skills are required to bring the numbers to life.
- Demonstrable ability to build effective working relationships across a range of organisational levels.
- Experience of working with complex VAT structures is desirable, especially with relation to foreign tax implications.
- Experience of working in a not for profit or charity environment is not essential but an ability to drive a commercial approach to managing the finances is.
Demonstrable competence:
- You will work with a high attention to detail with precise analytical and problem solving skills.
- A confident communicator with the ability to present financial information clearly and persuasively to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- You will have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and work with a customer focus at all times.
- You will have the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload whilst adapting to change in a dynamic, fast paced working environment and at times manage large volumes of work.
- You will be self‑motivated and have a team ethos in your approach to work.
Qualifications:
Professionally qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA/ACMA) or QBE.
Salary:
Based on FTE, £42,853.10 per annum.
