Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. We’re seeking an experienced and highly motivated MI Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and analytics, expertise in PowerBI, AI-driven insights and various data tooling. This role is crucial for driving data-driven decision making and ensuring the effective use of data across the DD&T organisation.
As the MI Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production of visualisation and reporting solutions using Power BI and the Power Platform and customer requests. You will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting business strategies and enhancing operational efficiency. This role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.
Key Accountabilities- Lead the design, development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency while providing insights and analytics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Manage the impact of change to the teams remit and workload, ensuring the teams requirements are considered and assessed as part of any change, and the teams actions are produced on time and to quality.
- Represent the team in discussions with customers.
- Juggle priorities and manage the workload of the team, liaising with customers as needed.
- Continuously improve the offering of the team to enhance customer experience.
- Oversee the integration of data sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
- Manage and optimize data tooling, Power Platform tools and infrastructure to automate workflows and improve business processes.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices.
- Implement best practices, ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and Power Platform technologies.

- Experience in leading a team of BI professionals with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Significant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or similar.
- Experience of working with change.
- Proven expertise in developing insights ideally using Power BI.
- Knowledge of Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to juggle deadlines with customers and challenge as appropriate.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.
- Experience of improving reporting or analytics to add value to customers.
- Ability to challenge as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
A competitive salary between £59,000 – £75,000 – dependent on experience and capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance, 28 days annual leave as standard, and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
