Senior Analyst in the Implementation Strategy team within the Reformed National Pricing (RNP) programme at NESO. The role defines implementation approaches for RNP reforms, assesses impacts on NESO personnel, systems and processes, and engages industry to ensure a comprehensive assessment of implementation.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the implementation of Reformed National Pricing (RNP) reforms for NESO, with a focus on balancing, settlement and dispatch/scheduling.
- Evaluate the potential impacts of changes, including delivery costs and timescales, as well as impacts on wider systems, processes and frameworks across NESO and the industry.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers across the industry to identify key areas of change in codes, systems and processes.
- Develop high‑level requirements and map activities, information flows, and data requirements associated with the implementation of the reforms.
- Ensure that implementation is considered as part of any decisions made within the programme, educating colleagues on areas of risk and opportunity.
- Collaborate with government bodies to ensure alignment on the implementation approach for the reforms.
- Contribute to a culture of curiosity, belonging and trust within the team and across NESO.
About You
- Proven ability to work within complex programmes or deliver successful business change projects.
- Understanding of NESO processes and systems, particularly in system operation or market contexts, is advantageous.
- Ability to gather findings from numerous sources to provide in‑depth analysis on complex issues and present key findings to senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of the issues faced in GB electricity markets and how these are being addressed by policymakers and the energy regulator.
- Experience in the GB electricity industry, including frameworks, codes, processes and data flows, is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proven ability to guide, persuade and influence others through strong communication and diplomacy.
