Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

NESO sees geospatial data and Location Intelligence (LI) as business critical. Using geographic analysis and technology, we can improve decision-making, customer understanding, and operational efficiency. We expect rapid growth in this area at NESO in the coming years. This role can be based from Wokingham or Warwick and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Requirements gathering and documentation – functional requirements are captured from relevant SMEs/stakeholders/users across the NESO organisation and based on personas and technical requirements from architecture, engineering/delivery and security. All requirements are documented and organised based on Agile delivery management structures including the definition of NFRs and definition of done.
  • Requirements management – requirements are organised and prioritised based on the product team’s detailed understanding of stakeholder and user needs to enable an aligned delivery roadmap over time.
  • Delivery partner management (internal) – alignment with key functions across NESO including architecture, engineering, delivery/service management and security. The product function must stay close to the detail of all requirements and understand outputs from each organisational element.
  • Implementation/delivery oversight – as an Agile product function working with Agile engineering and delivery, the function supports the delivery structures and defines epics, features and stories, and participates in ceremonies such as Long-Range Planning, refinement, estimation and sprint planning. It remains accountable for delivery against commitment and for assessing “done” (aligned to the definition of done).
  • Geospatial/LI products design management – the product function ensures designs and user experiences are purposeful, coherent and deliverable, translating user needs and business outcomes into clear, actionable work items (stories) for delivery teams.
