About the Role
The Gas Network Analyst role is part of a team that will provide independent strategic advice and recommendations on the gas national transmission system. This will include undertaking network analysis on the network's capability to review both the current and future needs across a range of supply and demand scenarios. The Gas Network Analyst roles will apply this knowledge and analytical expertise to develop a range of hydraulic simulation scenarios to support NESO in understanding future needs and supporting our Gas System Planner licence obligations. This role is based in Warwick and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full-time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.
Key Accountabilities
- Work in partnership with gas network analyst peers within the Gas Network Planning team.
- Undertake a range of gas scenario simulations and models of the gas network to deliver a range of business requirements.
- Analyse the capability of the national transmission system, identifying potential issues and engaging with stakeholders to develop recommendations for interventions.
- Lead on effectively documenting, visualising, and communicating the results of analyses to a range of internal and external stakeholders to inform decision making and future network planning and design.
- Work with wider NESO teams to ensure the delivery of Gas System Planner licence obligations.
