About the Role
NESO is seeking a People Consultant to translate the organisation’s People and Culture Strategy into actionable programmes. The role is based in Wokingham with a hybrid working model and accepts full‑time, part‑time and flexible arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of People Plans by turning strategic priorities into practical initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Build managerial capability through coaching, facilitation, organisational development interventions and support for people initiatives.
- Analyse workforce data, colleague feedback and external insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and deliver evidence‑based recommendations.
- Lead and deliver People and Organisational Development projects and workstreams with People Partners, ensuring successful implementation and measurable impact.
- Identify emerging people risks and issues, escalating complex matters to the relevant People Partner to mitigate business risk.
- Facilitate workshops, engagement activities and organisational development interventions that enhance capability, performance and colleague experience.
- Build effective relationships across the People function, Centres of Expertise, and business stakeholders to ensure joint delivery of people priorities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of people initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of people practices, tools and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting the delivery of people initiatives across organisational development, workforce planning, change, organisational design or employee experience.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment legislation and organisational effectiveness principles.
- Experience managing projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience building trusted relationships with managers, supporting them to navigate organisational and people challenges and deliver positive business outcomes.
- Experience facilitating workshops, engagement sessions or organisational development activities.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret workforce data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.
- CIPD 5 or higher qualification is desirable.
- Right to work in the UK by the start of employment. Visa sponsorship may not be available for this role.

- Competitive salary £50,000 – £55,000 (dependent on experience and capability).
