We are seeking a committed andmotivated professional to provide logistical, administrative, organisational,mapping, and outreach support to organising work across the region, deliveringregional, cross-regional, and national projects. The role will empoweractivists, support and develop representatives, boost membership density, andmaximise member engagement and learning—particularly by increasing the impactof organisers’ face-to-face activities in workplaces, networks, branches, anddistricts.
Reporting to the Senior Officer,you will provide a central point of organising support, includingadministration and member communications for learning events and conferences(pre- and post-), campaign support, and the delivery of mailings and materials.You will coordinate meetings, learning and other member events, eventregistration and attendance lists, workplace visits, telephone calls, andmember communications, supporting the implementation of the union’s aims.
The role also involves recruitingand engaging members and representatives through agreed recruitment, learning,and member engagement activities, including electronic, social media, andtelephone communications, and staffing recruitment stands. You will liaise withinternal stakeholders, members, representatives, and officers to support anddevelop regional organising, learning, and recruitment activity.
Applicants should have strong ITskills, including Microsoft Office and other programmes essential for the role,such as membership databases and reporting systems. ECDL Advanced, ITQ, orequivalent qualifications are desirable.
In addition to salary, we offergood conditions including 33 days’ annual leave plus Christmas closure days anda defined benefit pension scheme. Salary and benefits are pro-rata forpart-time applicants.
