The role
We are looking for a Fundraiser (Trust & Foundations) to manage a six figure plus portfolio of funders, delivering outstanding stewardship to maintain and grow relationships. Youll collaborate across the organisation to understand business objectives and priorities and, combining that with your knowledge of the sector, you will identify our key opportunities for funding.
What you\’ll do
Collaborate with stakeholders across the charity to understand priority projects, business aims and key objectives.
– Implement the Trusts & Foundations fundraising action plan.
– Use your research skills to perform due diligence ensuring projects are an ideal match for funders, and that potential partners are compatible with our aims and values.
– Prepare complex & multi-year funding bids, write engaging applications or prepare impact reports for funders, utilising your outstanding storytelling skills to secure new or repeat funding for our cause.
– Use your keen interpersonal skills to develop mutually beneficial relationships, yielding five and six figure donations, with new and existing partners to enable NDCS to deliver against strategic plans.
What you\’ll need
– Demonstrable experience in developing funder relationships from prospecting to partnership.
– Strong research skills & demonstrable ability to perform due diligence to ensure projects meet funding criteria and that partners are aligned with NDCS values.
– A commitment to excellent funder stewardship and impeccable interpersonal relationship building skills to develop warm and cold relationships.
– Excellent writing skills with a creative storytelling ability, clearly demonstrating the case for support and bringing funders on a journey, resulting in successful funding bids that deliver five and six figure and multi-year donations, to meet agreed targets.
– Strong experience in managing a six figure plus portfolio of funders.
– Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles.
– A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).
