Evidence and Insight Lead Reference: DEC20242287 Expiry date: 23:00, Thu, 16th Jan 2025 Location: Home-based UK Salary: £39,000.00 – £44,000.00 Per Annum The role We are looking for an Evidence and Insight Lead to help us with knowledge management, to ensure that the use of evidence and insight is embedded in how we work across the organisation. Your role will sit in our Understand chapter a team of colleagues who focus on all things data, research, evidence, insight and evaluation. We have a mixture of skills in research and analytics, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methods. Every member has a vital role to play, sharing their skills, knowledge and experience, and learning and developing together. In 2023, we launched our new 5-year strategy Every Moment Counts, with an ambitious plan to reach every deaf child wherever they are and whenever they need us. In the Understand chapter, our mission is to support the organisation to achieve this vision by being data, evidence and insight driven. We also need to be able to monitor and evaluate our work to measure the impact we are having, and to support continuous improvement. Your role will be vital in helping us to achieve these things. We have embraced agile ways of working, which includes a strong focus on the customer, flexibility, autonomy and project work being done in cross-organisational, self-organising teams. This means your time will be spent doing a mixture of work with the rest of the Understand chapter and working with cross-organisational teams. What you\’ll do – Lead on developing and embedding the use of knowledge from research, evidence and insight to drive our work across the organisation. – Further develop and maintain our bank of evidence , using good knowledge management techniques. – Lead the regular collation and synthesis of existing and new evidence and insight from both internal and external sources in order to help colleagues across the organisation keep their understanding up-to-date. – Provide practical support to colleagues, including rapid evidence reviews , to ensure any new work is based on strong existing evidence and insight. – Work closely with our Governance, Strategy and Planning chapter to ensure we have the mechanisms and approaches to use evidence and insight for robust planning and decision-making. – Work closely with colleagues in the Understand chapter, sharing skills and supporting mutual learning , development and growth. – Help drive the organisation towards a culture of customer-focused and evidence-based decision-making . What you\’ll need – Strong skills and experience in developing and embedding the use of knowledge from research, evidence and insight in projects and across an organisation. – Experience of knowledge management . – Experience of synthesising large volumes of evidence and insights , including conducting literature reviews and rapid evidence reviews. – Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders through the use of evidence and insight. – Experience with quantitative and qualitative research and analysis . – Excellent reporting skills using different outputs and mechanisms for different audiences, with the ability to communicate complex information simply. – An understanding of monitoring and evaluation in a charity. – Skills to support embedding a culture of continuous improvement and learning . – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well, whether that be offering support, guidance and training, coaching and developing others, or influencing and constructively challenging to improve how we do things. – Highly proactive, comfortable with autonomy, passionate and driven to make a difference. – Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles . – A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).
