We’re looking for someone hungry to generate leads and help progress them into signed clients. This is a hands‑on role; you’ll need awareness of marketing tactics and will be expected to go out and generate business, oversee the sales pipeline, manage the journey from first contact to proposal, and support the Managing Director. You’ll be instrumental in driving revenue growth and freeing up the MD’s time so the business can scale.
Location: Flexible – must be based within reach of Wokingham (i.e. ~London/South East of England, for clients and occasional team in‑person meetings)
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound enquiries and qualify leads.
- Prepare quotes and draft proposals using our templates and pricing frameworks.
- Coordinate discovery calls and meetings, joining or leading them as needed.
- Maintain the sales pipeline and ensure follow‑ups happen on schedule.
- Support networking, partnership, and referral activities.
Marketing
- Develop and deliver client acquisition strategies across digital channels (email, content, SEO, social, paid, partnerships).
- Create and manage campaigns that attract and nurture leads through our CRM.
- Build and promote case studies, testimonials, and thought‑leadership content.
- Manage the website and improve conversion paths (contact forms, lead magnets, landing pages), with the support of the digital marketing team.
- Track marketing metrics and report on ROI.
Partnership Development
- Establish strategic partnerships with digital agencies, IT consultants, and startup incubators.
- Manage referral and affiliate programs to drive inbound leads.
Commercial Insight & Process
- Refine and document our sales and marketing processes for repeatability.
- Feed back market insights to inform service development and pricing.
- Work closely with the Director to forecast revenue and prioritise opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in business development, preferably in tech or digital services.
- Experience developing business for medium‑large ticket projects (£10k‑30k) and/or recurring revenue value‑add services.
- 3+ years’ experience in business development roles.
- Agency experience is ideal; at least you must know how our services add value to a business and understand the digital marketing landscape.
- Strong digital marketing skills (SEO, email, and social especially).
- Confident communicator and relationship‑builder.
- Comfortable writing proposals and discussing budgets.
- Data‑driven mindset and proficiency in data analysis.
- Self‑motivated, organised, and commercially curious.
- Strong understanding of website development and digital marketing.
- The ideal candidate will have an understanding of AI and business process automation.
