Join NCC as an Aerospace Programme Manager (Technology Programme Manager). You will own a portfolio of high‑value, cutting‑edge engineering programmes that shape the future of flight. The role plays a key part in expanding NCC’s presence in the aerospace market by building trusted customer relationships, shaping multi‑year partnerships, and identifying opportunities that drive collaboration and technological advancement.
Responsibilities
- Programme leadership – Lead the successful delivery of multiple complex programmes across the full life cycle, balancing priorities to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality, managing risk, change and stakeholder engagement, and setting clear expectations of programme culture.
- Customer Engagement & Growth – Act as the primary point of contact for customers, build strong relationships, translate customer needs into successful delivery, represent NCC as account manager for key accounts, identify and develop new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the project portfolio.
- Team & delivery management – Lead and motivate a team of project managers, embed a culture of personal development, collaborate across engineering and capability teams for effective resource utilisation, and delegate project management responsibilities appropriately.
- Strategic Activities – Support wider strategic initiatives that reinforce NCC’s commercial objectives and ensure the organisation is equipped to deliver effectively for its customers.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone who combines strong programme delivery expertise with customer and partnership business development. You will likely bring the following:
- Experience managing complex programmes or multiple projects in an engineering or technical environment.
- Proven ability to work directly with customers and build strong, lasting relationships.
- A track record of identifying opportunities and contributing to business growth.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across cross‑functional teams.
- Experience of managing large grant‑funded programmes with organisations such as Innovate UK, ATI and Horizon Europe.
- A background in Aerospace or advanced engineering (ideally composites).
- Experience in R&D or innovation‑led environments, progressing through Technology and Manufacturing Readiness Levels.
