We’re looking for a detail‑driven and collaborative Management Accountant to join our Finance team, focusing on grants and audit activity. This role will play a key part in ensuring our grant‑funded programmes are accurate, compliant and well managed while working closely with teams across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Owning end‑to‑end grant claim processes, ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered on time
- Managing calculations, reporting and reconciliations for grant‑funded activity
- Partnering with project, PMO and finance colleagues to improve the accuracy and efficiency of grant processes
- Supporting external audits, acting as a key contact for auditors and providing required information
- Producing grant rate calculations (labour, equipment and overheads) in line with funder requirements
- Monitoring grant spend and providing regular updates to budget holders
- Delivering monthly reconciliations between the General Ledger and grant claims
- Providing wider support across Finance, including statutory audit activity and ad‑hoc reporting
Required Qualifications
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Experience working with large data sets to produce accurate financial outputs
- Strong analytical skills with a "right‑first‑time" mindset
- Experience supporting audits, compliance or working with auditors
- Confident communicator, able to explain complex financial information clearly
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams
- Organised and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines
Desirable
- Experience in a project or grant‑funded environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O)
