We are looking for a someone with experience in recruitment of volunteers, particularly with Fundraising Volunteers. They will need to be a proactive, outgoing and organised person with a passion for volunteering and who understands the difference that volunteers can make.

Main Functions

In this role you will help to recruit Fundraising volunteers to build and maintain a robust infrastructure around our current team members enabling the organisation to grow and prosper. They will work to develop initiatives that will support stations to grow their teams by increasing interest in volunteering for the Charity. As well as raising awareness of volunteer opportunities within the community through various engagement initiatives.

The duties of the Volunteer Recruitment Lead include:

Support the Head of Fundraising & Marketing in recruitment of volunteer roles

Develop initiatives that will help stations grow their teams by increasing the number of volunteers interested in roles, meeting the varying challenges and demands across the estate

Source relevant websites / organisations which specialise in recruiting volunteers and support with the advertising of these roles

As and when required support with writing role descriptions

As and when required support with interviewing/ reviewing of candidates

The skills of the Volunteer Recruitment Lead should include:

Previous experience of working within the Recruitment sector

Understands the legislation and best practice for volunteering

Experience of managing Volunteers

Knowledge and experience of other relevant agencies working with volunteers

Be proactive and outgoing with a passion for volunteering

Be able to communicate effectively and clearly to a range of internal and external customers

Be creative in the ability to attract and retain volunteers

Ability to engage and build a rapport with a wide range of people

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Ability to work independently and remotely

IT competent and confident

This is a remote opportunity, which can be carried out in or outside of office hours

Estimated required time varies and would be open to discussion of what the volunteer can offer the charity
