Job DescriptionSupport Worker - NightsSalary: £12.74 per hourWorking Hours: 36 per week, 12 hour shifts, 19:30-07:30Service: National Neurological ServicesWe are currently recruiting for Support worker - Nights to join our team atNational Neurological Services - MorecambeAt National Neurological Services we support people with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological conditions in their rehabilitation. We strive to achieve personal goals and endeavour to support individuals in regaining as much independence as possible following their injury or condition. Our ultimate aim is for individuals to be able to return home and enjoy their lives again. Here at Primrose Neuro Rehabilitation Centre, we have capacity to support up to 7 individuals through their slow stream rehabilitation.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
  • You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.

  • A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
  • A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
