Position: Support Worker – Affinity Supporting People South Limited (Great Harwood)
Salary: £12.21 per hour (£25,396.80 per annum)
Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, including sleeps.
Prerequisite: Full UK driver’s licence required.

Role Overview
You will work with young adults who have complex needs. In this sometimes challenging but rewarding role you will:
- Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
- Help plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
- Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
- Help plan and participate in exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
- Support individuals to become more independent wherever possible.
Qualifications & Desired Qualities
- NVQ or QCF Level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care – or commitment to undertake.
- A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
- A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
- Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Experience of building positive working relationships with service users, families, staff and other health and social care professionals.
- Ability to maintain clear written and electronic records and to follow statutory reporting procedures, ensuring all colleagues are following correct procedures.
