Up to 40 hours per week available at £12.36 per hour (£25,708 per annum, based on 40 hours). £500 Joining Bonus!

A full UK driving licence is required to meet the needs of this role. Potential to earn more with sleep rates! Day shifts between 10am - 10pm.

We are looking for dedicated staff to join us at our Atlantic Way service, located in Tavistock, helping to support people with learning difficulties and/or mental health needs. Atlantic Way Care Mid and West is spread over three individual sites providing 24-hour support for individuals with a vast range of complex Mental Health needs.

Responsibilities:
  • You will work with young adults who have complex needs and build positive relationships by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
  • You will help to plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
  • You will make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
  • A caring attitude, with a passion for supporting others and a motivation to see them achieve goals.
  • A team player, able to work effectively with other colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and the confidence to ask for support if needed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
