About the Role

As the leader of this residential service, you will ensure the health and wellbeing of both individuals and staff, and provide the governance and quality expected by the Care Quality Commission. Your focus will be on creating a people‑centred environment that unlocks each resident’s potential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the health and wellbeing of residents and colleagues.
  • Oversee quality and governance in line with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Coach, mentor and lead staff, setting a positive example.
  • Balance operational demands, manage staff leave, organise regular team meetings and maintain training compliance.
  • Develop strong relationships with families, external professionals and regulators to foster collaborative working.
  • Guide residents through their transition from assessment to achieving full potential.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, support plans and other written communications.
  • Produce timely reporting to support quality improvement and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Extensive experience working with learning disabilities, mental health and complex behaviours across multiple sites.
  • Level 4 or 5 Health & Social Care qualification, or equivalent experience with support to achieve this.
  • Strong leadership values and excellent communication & influencing abilities.
  • Effective time‑management skills, an initiative‑driven approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts and on‑call duties in a 7‑day service.
  • Deep commitment to person‑centred care and unlocking resident potential.
