Role: Support Worker (National Care Group)

Eligibility

Full UK Driver's licence required.

Location

Nexus Support Limited – Southend on Sea (covering Basildon, Castle Point, Chelmsford, Southend)

Salary

£13.01 per hour (£27,060.80 per annum, based on 40 hours)

Working Hours

Up to 40 hours per week. Minimum of two shifts per week, including early, late, sleep‑in and alternate weekends.

Joining Bonus

£300.00

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults aged 16–45 who have complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health support needs, acquired brain injuries, and other complex related needs.

Your responsibilities include

  • Build positive relationships by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
  • Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands.
  • Assist with personal care, including support with eating and administering medication.
  • Plan and participate in any exciting day‑out activities.
  • Support people to become more independent wherever possible.
  • Qualities & Skills

  • Resilience to persist through difficult situations and confidence to ask for support.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
