We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Essential Care and Support Limited - Abbeyvale Care Centre, based in Hartlepool. Essential Care and Support is part of the National Care Group and specialises in providing person‑centred care across supported living, outreach and day services. Abbeyvale Care Centre is a warm and caring residential service designed to suit the needs of people with various diagnoses, including physical disabilities, symptoms of old age, dementia, and mental health needs.

The Senior Care Assistant Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, your role will be to assist senior management in assessing support needs and working with people we support to initiate and develop new ideas and methods to improve service quality. The most important qualities needed are the ability to treat others with respect, listen to their needs, and understand their emotions. Be kind, friendly and honest.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- Have a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or be working towards it.
- Able to motivate and manage a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
