We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker at Atlantic Way Care & Support based in Bideford. Atlantic Way Care is spread over seven individual sites providing 24‑hour support for individuals with a vast range of complex needs. The company is part of National Care Group, which provides supported living services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health and challenging behaviours. We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic organisation.

Role Overview

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. You will build positive relationships, help with daily tasks, personal care, and plan enjoyable days out, aiming to support independence.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
  • Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • Assist with personal care, including eating and medication administration.
  • Plan and participate in days out that individuals wish to enjoy.
  • Support individuals to become more independent wherever possible.

  • Team player, able to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Resilience to keep going at difficult times and confidence to seek support when needed.
