The Contract Manager Role:

Are you a strategic thinker with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for public sector procurement? Join National Care Group as a Contract Manager and help shape the future of our commercial operations.

In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer to ensure our contractual arrangements support sustainable growth, deliver best value, and protect the commercial interests of National Care Group.

About the role:

• Manage procurement portals and lead on tender submissions.

• Oversee contract review and management across Local Authority and NHS relationships.

• Develop and monitor Service Level Agreements with Housing Partners.

• Support the implementation of purchasing and supply processes across NCG.

• Lead on fee setting, negotiation, and value assurance.

• Advise on commissioner positioning, sustainability, and risk mitigation.

• Drive strategic growth through contracting opportunities and engagement with provider events and procurement platforms.

• Manage annual contract reviews and fee renegotiations based on cost pressures and market intelligence.

• Ensure Housing Partners meet obligations and protect NCG’s commercial interests.

About you:

• MCIPS membership (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).

• Proven experience in public sector procurement, ideally within adult social care.

• Strong analytical skills to support strategic decision-making.

• Excellent written communication for tender responses and marketing support.

• Ability to self-manage, prioritise, and meet deadlines.

• Confident communicator and influencer with internal and external stakeholders.

• Skilled in reviewing and interpreting contractual documentation.
