Salary: £12.21 per hour (£20,952.36 per annum) | Working Hours: 33 hours per week | £300 Joining Bonus

We are currently recruiting for Essential Care and Support Limited - Abbeyvale Care Center, based in Hartlepool. Essential Care and Support is part of the National Care Group and provides person-centred care across supported living, outreach and day services. Abbeyvale Care Centre is a warm and caring residential service designed to support people with a range of needs, including physical disabilities, symptoms of old age, dementia and mental health needs.

National Care Group is a leading UK provider of adult social care, supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, autism and complex related needs. Its mission is to empower the people it supports to lead their best life and live as independently as possible within their community.

This is a Care Assistant role at Abbeyvale Care Center. You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a challenging but rewarding role.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
  • Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
  • Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
  • Help plan and participate in days out as wished.
  • Make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
