We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team at Cornerstones Palmarium. At Cornerstones, we provide Supported Living support to individuals with learning disabilities, ASD and those who may present behaviours that challenge. Support is focused around developing and maintaining daily living skills, and support to ensure they engage with the local and wider community.
We ensure that support is provided to individuals in the most person-centred way possible, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect and have meaningful choice and control in their lives every day.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
- Help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
- Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
- Help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
- Make a positive impact on someone’s life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
