Overview
The role of Parking Equipment Support Engineer is available at NCP. We are looking for an Engineer to provide dedicated engineering expertise to support the NCP or Client sites Parking Equipment estate and associated systems.
Note: whilst this role is advertised out of Kingston, it will involve covering an area within a 2 hour radius of the advertised location.
Responsibilities
- Providing 2nd line Parking Equipment support both remotely and on-site, independently or with NCP Operations, Technology Service Desk colleagues, or third-party Service Engineers.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment and process failures, determining root cause, and implementing remedies.
- Reviewing and contributing to maintenance plans and workflow, serving as a repair coordinator for turnarounds/PPMs. Conducting post-maintenance monitoring to ensure repairs and changes are effective and of quality.
- Advising NCP Operations and Technology Service Desk on the best use and practice of equipment to enable efficient operation of parking equipment to reduce downtime.
- Creating and maintaining standard support documentation to cover parking equipment operation, engineering and technical knowledge transfer, and maintenance disciplines.
- Refurbishing equipment and ensuring part/assets stock is recorded and accurate on NCP\’s central equipment store.
- Building equipment, in readiness for projects. This includes end-to-end testing, ensuring equipment is fully operational before being installed on site.
- Creating processes for tasks in and around forward house. To ensure accountabilities for all tasks being carried out on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Availability Monday to Sunday on a rota basis with overtime as and when required by the business and agreed with management.
- Competency in Parking Equipment (Nice to have), Microsoft Office and Windows OS, and a working knowledge of computer networking.
- Exceptional customer service skills, the ability to think logically, and enjoy problem-solving.
- The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid technical background in parking equipment support, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
