We’re seeking a motivated Data Protection Paralegal to join our dynamic in-house Legal team.

At NCP, we’re proud to be a trusted brand with a long history of serving millions of customers across the UK. We’re now looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Data Protection Paralegal to support our legal team in managing and responding to data protection queries and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the legal function, you’ll support the Senior Commercial and Data Protection Lawyer to ensure timely, professional, and legally compliant responses to data protection-related enquiries. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing data protection requests including:
- Subject Access Requests (SARs)
- Account deletions and closures
- Right to be forgotten requests
- General data protection queries
- Monitoring and maintaining the Data Protection Inbox, ensuring efficient triage and responses
- Logging requests, actions, and outcomes in tracking spreadsheets
- Communicating with customers and internal teams within legal timeframes
- Preparing and redacting SAR responses using Adobe Pro
- Supporting on breaches, audits, project work, and guidance documentation
- Assisting the broader legal team with tasks such as:
- Archiving
- Document checks and reporting
- Administrative
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is meticulous, organised, and confident in handling sensitive information. You’ll need:
Skills & Attributes
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- High level of written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive attitude with a customer-first mindset
Experience
- Solid understanding of Data Protection legislation, including GDPR
- Experience handling data tracking and compliance reports
- Exposure to customer-facing environments is desirable
Qualifications
- Good general level of education required
- Law degree desirable
- LPC (Legal Practice Course) completion is a plus, but not essential
