Hours: 40 hours per week (Operating on a Flexible Shift Pattern)
Salary: Β£13.50 per hour

As a Maintenance Operative at NCP Birmingham Forward House, you will play a vital role in ensuring our car parks and buildings are well-maintained, safe, and presentable. From fixing minor repairs to installing signage, your work will directly contribute to a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and redecoration across the car park estate.
- Install signage and ensure all areas are clearly marked for customers.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks, such as maintaining welfare facilities and fixing minor leaks.
- Conduct minor electrical work, ensuring lighting and electrical fixtures are in working order.
- Repair and replace locks, fixtures and fittings, flooring, and carpet tiles.
- Maintain car park surfaces, including pothole repairs, line marking, and fencing.
- Undertake winter maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and report maintenance faults.
- Maintain compliance with Health and Safety policies, carrying out risk assessments.
- Operate within Birmingham Airport's Permit to Work regulations (training provided).
- Assist in transporting goods and equipment safely.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing queries and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Report any suspicious activity in accordance with business and airport procedures.
- Experience in general maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrics.
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills (training provided for internal systems).
- Full UK driving licence.
- City & Guilds or relevant trade qualification is desirable but not essential.
