Position Summary:

This marketing planning position will be part of the Marketing and growth team that is responsible for growing our brand, direct-to-consumer products, and fan connections within Europe and the Middle East.
Using your integrated marketing expertise, you will work closely with your team to take a centralised view across our consumer-facing channels to ensure that all activity has maximum impact. You will consult with content, PR, social & events & partner teams to ensure strategic alignment and fully integrated planning. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of fully integrated end-to-end marketing processes and enjoy working with a range of stakeholders across various projects.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Go-to-market planning for all consumer-facing initiatives, including milestone planning, messaging frameworks, channel plans, and user journeys.
  2. Recommend and build new templates and tools to aid organisation and alignment within the marketing function, including new briefing templates, planning calendars, and campaign tiering.
  3. Own marketing relationships with client-facing teams that require NBA marketing support for third parties. Aligning with the wider marketing team to build NBA plans that suit partner needs.
  4. Lead monthly/ weekly cross-functional consumer planning meetings across all fan engagement functions. Teams include social, content, PR, talent, and events.
  5. Day-to-day management & oversight of the EME marketing budget to ensure the best use of spending to deliver on business objectives. Requires full alignment with DTC, talent & brand teams.
  6. Work directly with US marketing colleagues to feed into existing processes on quarterly and annual planning.
  7. Support senior leaders on strategic growth projects, including consumer propositions, briefs to agencies and internal presentations.
  8. Alongside brand lead, use consumer insights & analytics to feed into briefings and strategic work done by all consumer facing teams.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Extensive experience in the marketing industry, preferably within sports but not essential.
  2. Proven experience in building and maintaining marketing processes across multiple consumer channels.
  3. Enjoys cross-functional work and problem-solving. Comfortable leading processes & meetings.
  4. Excellent presentation skills, including building strategic proposals.
  5. Pan-European marketing experience is preferred but not essential.
  6. Inquisitive by nature and comfortable challenging existing processes.
  7. Proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English is required.
  8. Experience leading marketing budget allocation and collaborating with finance.

Educational Background Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required.
