Job Purpose The assist the Head of Compliance with ensuring that relevant laws and regulations are adhered to and that NBKI’s policies and procedures comply. The person must support the Head of Compliance with preparing the HMRC AEoI returns for the Bank and its affiliate entities. Regulatory responsibilities consist of overseeing the FSCS CV files, compliance monitoring, preparing SMF applications under the SMCR and carrying our regulatory impact assessments as and when required. |
Delegated authorities The job holder is authorised to conduct dialogue and enter into written communications with the UK regulators, when this has been expressly requested by the Head of Compliance on a case-by-case basis. After 3 months the person will be added as contact with the FSCS but will be supervised by the Head of Compliance and/or the Deputy Head of Compliance. |
Sub-delegation of authorities - The job holder cannot delegate his/her work except on a purely administrative level such as typing, booking meeting rooms etc.

Qualifications/ Experience - Minimum 5 years of relevant Compliance experience in banking
- Educated to degree level, ideally with a legal or compliance qualification
- Strong experience in compliance monitoring and testing

- Ability to work effectively and supportively within a team.
- Good attention to detail
- Highly organised and efficient, with administrative skills and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Computer competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Key success factors - Analytical skills and the ability to understand regulations and distil from them what action needs to be taken
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of FCA rules such as SMCR, Consumer Duty, BCOBS, SYSC and other guidelines and some detailed
- knowledge of those regulations which apply to banks
- Good working knowledge of FSCS and AEOI rules and requirements
