NBCCM’s Mining & Metals Investment Banking team is seeking an Investment Banking Intern to support deal execution and origination activities in London, UK. As an Investment Banking Intern, you will play a key role in supporting transaction execution and industry coverage activities, gaining significant exposure to complex advisory and financing mandates. Responsibilities will progressively increase, offering strong development opportunities within a specialist sector-focused franchise.
Your Job
- Assisting in the evaluation and analysis of the financial needs of corporate clients, including financial modelling and valuation analysis.
- Supporting deal teams with transaction structuring and the execution of advisory and financing mandates.
- Preparing presentations, pitch books, and other materials to support clients' strategic and capital markets decision‑making.
- Assisting in the drafting of marketing materials, investor presentations, prospectuses, offering memoranda, and other transaction‑related documentation.
- Conducting company, industry, commodity, and market research with a focus on the mining & metals sector.
- Supporting senior team members with deal execution, project coordination, and client coverage activities.
- Maintaining financial databases and assisting with the preparation of internal and external reports.
Basic Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, or other related disciplines.
- Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Previous internship experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, equity research, consulting, capital markets, or other related fields, is desirable.
- Strong interest in the mining & metals or broader natural resources sectors.
- Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and capital markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or similar financial databases is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
