Join Our Ratings Advisory & Market Intelligence team and become part of GC's Global Analytics & Advisory Team. Guy Carpenter's Ratings Advisory & Market Intelligence team is an integral part of Guy Carpenter's Business Intelligence function, providing insights into current global (re)insurance market conditions, trends, counterparty creditworthiness, and risks that influence our clients' business needs.

Responsibilities

  • We seek an experienced (re)insurance professional eager to balance client-facing work with analytical projects.
  • You will support clients and brokers in achieving their strategic ratings and counterparty goals.
  • Working mainly within Ratings Advisory & Market Intelligence, you'll collaborate with the wider Global Analytics & Advisory division, broking teams, GC Securities, and occasionally Marsh Risk, Mercer, and Oliver Wyman to nurture and grow client relationships.
  • You will also innovate by proposing tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Lead projects to help clients meet rating objectives through gap reports, rating agency capital model reviews, peer analyses, and rating agency management meeting presentation support.
  • Prepare capital stresses and scenario analyses using rating agency models.
  • Engage with prospective clients and brokers to promote our Ratings Advisory services.
  • Maintain and update marketing materials.
  • Lead the creation and review of analytical reports on (re)insurance companies for brokers and clients.
  • Present market insights and findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs.
  • Produce marketing materials, newsletters, and research notes.
  • Conduct research and data analysis as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, (re)insurers, and clients to support business development.
  • Additional responsibilities include attending rating agency events, summarising new rating criteria for the team, and managing large financial datasets to generate actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Deep (re)insurance industry knowledge from experience with rating agencies, advisory firms, or consultancies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Confidence engaging with C‑suite clients and delivering solutions.
  • Experience with LLMs or AI tools to enhance efficiency is a plus.
