Our client is a private investment firm based in central London. With over £3bn AUM, this business is in growth mode and are keen to add to their Finance function. We are seeking a newly/recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) to perform a very broad role within the corporate accounting team.
The Role
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Reconcile member accounts and maintain investment and capital registers.
- Consolidation adjustments for group companies
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and account for all transactions.
- Issue invoices to related parties and external entities.
- Manage payment processes, including fund recharge settlements.
- Review and prepare distribution notices
- Review fund models and update firm forecasts
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and corporate tax returns.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow management.
- Support year-end audits, including preparation of audit files and responding to auditor queries.
Requirements
- You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- You are very likely to be coming from a mid-tier accounting firm seeking your first role post-practice
- Industry experience would also be very welcome, especially if you are working for an investment business
- Able to work well within a small team
- Have excellent all round interpersonal skills
