Head of Financial Lines is a senior leadership position within Victor UK responsible for shaping, governing and driving the strategy for the UK Financial Lines Underwriting Practice. Victor is Marsh's MGA and is on a journey to become the best Digitally Enabled, Full Stack, Specialist MGA in the UK. The Financial Lines Practice is a key part of this ambition. This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. We are looking for an experienced underwriting leader with the vision to step in and drive this profitable and rapidly growing Practice to the next level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial lines underwriting team to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies and product offerings tailored to market needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and carriers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the financial lines portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in financial lines underwriting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Established broker relationships and presence in the UK market.
  • Deep knowledge of UK insurance market regulations and practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and growing financial lines products.

Desired Qualities

  • Professional qualifications such as ACII or equivalent.
  • Experience with digital underwriting platforms and data analytics.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • MGA experience is an advantage.
