Natco Foods is an earth-loving food business based in Buckingham. We have a wide portfolio of ambient foods ranging from herbs and spices to pulses, grains, nuts, canned products, pickles, chutneys, poppadoms, and we mill our own gram flour. An integral part of an international company spanning continents, Natco has more than 50 years’ experience in supplying the ingredients required for flavoursome and healthy meals. We supply most major UK supermarkets, both under private and own label categories.
Our continuous investment in development and business expansion has opened up an excellent opportunity for a full-time permanent HGV Class 1/2 Driver to join our Warehouse and Transport Division and operate from our Buckingham site, driving nationally to deliver pallets of food products to both local shops and depots.
Responsibilities will include:
- The safe and efficient loading, unloading, and timely arrival of our goods at multi-sites (hand-balling and electric pump truck duties may be required) using our modern fleet of vehicles.
- Ensuring the highest standards of work are maintained at all times.
- Undertaking vehicle checks to ensure road-worthiness and compliance with VOSA, Health and Safety (SSOW), hygiene, and other related legislation.
You must have had a full HGV Class 1 licence (with no more than 6 points) for more than 12 months, and will preferably have previous driving experience. You must have a full CPC, digital tachograph card, and a good understanding of current tachograph legislation.
You will have a professional manner and be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Organisational skills are vital as well as the ability to manage your time effectively, work well as part of a team and independently whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach to working. Having a top level of pride in your vehicle and role is a must.
