The world is facing a nature crisis. We have lost 85% of the world’s wetlands, 35% of its forests, and 65% of its living creatures. Action on nature is the next frontier for sustainability, as the world expands beyond a narrow focus on net zero. Natcap is at the forefront of this movement. Natcap is the market leader in Nature Intelligence and has recently raised funding and is poised for significant growth.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of design at Natcap. You will join the team responsible for transforming the business from consulting to product-led. Our recently launched product has an established foundation and you will be responsible for raising the quality, consistency, and impact of design across the platform. This role is both hands-on and strategic: improving what exists, introducing stronger design practices, and helping the product evolve into a more mature, scalable system.
You’ll work closely with our senior product manager, engineers, and scientists to translate complex nature data and insights into clear, actionable user experiences. You’ll operate in a high velocity yet friendly and collaborative environment. You will have autonomy and are expected to challenge, refine, and elevate product decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Understanding our users, their workflows and where the current product can improve
- Improving the usability, clarity and consistency of the existing platform
- Redesigning key parts of the product so users can explore, compare and act on insights more effectively
- Establishing reusable design patterns and helping build a more robust design system
- Collaborating closely with engineering and science teams to make smart, practical design decisions
- Testing and iterating based on user feedback and product usage
- Using AI tools pragmatically to increase speed and quality across the design process
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in product design
- A strong track record of improving and scaling existing products
- Experience in B2B SaaS and/or complex, data-heavy environments
- Excellent UX and interaction design skills, particularly across complex workflows
- Confidence leading research, identifying systemic issues and shaping product direction
- Comfort working independently in ambiguity and moving quickly in a startup environment
- A collaborative, low-ego approach and a strong focus on outcomes
- Confidence using AI tools to improve efficiency and output
Why join Natcap?
- The chance to help build a fast-growing company tackling one of the world’s most urgent challenges
- Enhanced family benefits
- Wellbeing package including EAP, cycle to work, lifestyle benefits and gym subsidies
- Quarterly awards, social events and away days
- Enhanced sick pay
- Annual L&D budget
- Salary sacrifice schemes
This role reports to our Head of Product, Coraline, and is based in our London office near Chancery Lane, with at least three days a week onsite. Interested? - We’d love to hear from designers who want to use their craft to help shape a more nature-positive future.
