Fascinating opportunity for the right IT professional. This is not an ordinary IT Manager or Internal IT Manager role as it is hybrid by nature, thus also encompassing IT Governance responsibilities. The company has experienced significant growth, both organic and through a series of M&A, and currently has just over 150 full-time members of staff. The company has won multiple awards for customer service and delivering the highest standards to their client base.
They need an Internal IT / Infrastructure / Governance Manager to delve into their systems, policies, and security. Key responsibilities include:
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Entra ID
- Intune
- ISO 27001
- Cyber Essentials Plus
- Governance
- Vendor management
- Licensing
- Security Documentation
- Audit readiness
- Automation
- AI governance
- Roadmaps
- On-call responsibilities
This role will require 1, sometimes 2 days a week in Manchester or Derby, with the rest being work from home (WFH). It is likely that 80% WFH will be your reality. This opportunity would suit strong Infrastructure Managers wanting their first ownership role or Senior Microsoft 365 Administrators ready to step up, as well as IT Managers working for companies with 50 to 250 users.
You should come from a purist, highly technical background and still be hands-on at the administrator level with Microsoft 365 and Intune. This is a NON Leadership role, focusing purely on adding value to the business through AI readiness, Cyber Security, security policies, ISO 27001, vendor management, and progressing automation.
Promotions and pay rises are standard here, based on merit rather than tenure.
