The NASUWT is the leading Trade Union representing the interests of teachers and school leaders throughout the UK, working across the maintained sector and in academies and independent schools. Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Member Support Services Team
  • Work flexibly on a rota between 8.00am – 6.30pm, according to the needs of the service
  • Advise, inform and guide teachers on a wide range of matters relating to their employment and membership of the union
  • Operate through a busy telephone advice line and via email

Requirements

  • Knowledge of employment law or teachers' terms and conditions is essential
  • Commitment to the values and ethos of Trade Unions
  • Outstanding member care skills
  • Experience of providing telephone advice and guidance within a legal or employment context

Contract and Location

  • Salary: £41,864 per annum
  • Contract type: Fixed term to 6 October 2026
  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Location: Based in Rednal, Birmingham – Hybrid working
