Overview

A varied role to provide support to our Managed Service customers, assist with escalations from the wider Service Desks and deliver projects onsite at customer locations throughout the UK. You must be agile in managing your workload, constantly re‑evaluating priorities, and flexible with working times to maintain core hours coverage. The role involves proactive tasks that maximize uptime, resolve alerts, deploy updates, maintain and upgrade systems, and work with leading cutting‑edge technology in a supportive service environment that promotes excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal with incoming incidents in a professional, courteous manner over the phone and via e‑mail.
  • Take ownership of incidents and manage them in a logical and methodical manner, keeping customers informed of progress.
  • Exhibit a natural aptitude for troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
  • Mentor junior engineers through technical roadblocks.
  • Embrace continual change and process improvement.
  • Communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely.
  • Plan and manage own workflow daily to achieve KPIs.
  • Demonstrate a passion for customers and delivering service excellence.
  • Proactively keep up to date with technologies supported by Nasstar.

Qualities & Skills

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP or JNCIA
  • Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP)
  • 3+ years experience with router and switch hardware, field‑based work beneficial
  • Track record of providing customer support and project delivery
  • Advanced Routing and Switching hands‑on experience
  • Fortinet hands‑on experience including SDWAN
  • Network Analysis
    • Audit / Recommend / Remediate
  • Traffic Measurement
  • Network Monitoring
    • Monitoring toolsets
