The Credit Analyst will be responsible for primary coverage of sector credits in the primary and secondary market, assisting portfolio managers with underwriting of investment opportunities and ongoing management of portfolio credits.
Nassau Global Credit LLC (NGC) is a global credit manager focused on Securitized Credit, Opportunistic Credit, and Total Return Credit investment strategies. NGC invests in the leveraged loan and high yield bond markets across the US and Europe, issuing collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), sponsoring private investment funds, and advising separately managed accounts. This job will be located in London, for NGC UK.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental credit analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, and underwriting of investment opportunities in both the primary deal pipeline and secondary market.
- Monitor and report on performance of portfolio investments in designated industry sectors.
- Maintain credit database in Skyroad and proprietary templates by entering financial data as needed on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Build financial forecast models, including forecasting revenue and EBITDA, and leverage. Analysts are expected to generate scenarios.
- Complete ad hoc reporting and investment analysis.
- Engage with corporate management in-person and participate in quarterly and annual calls with obligors.
- Assist with development of portfolio and sector strategy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- At least c.4 (and up to c.8) years' experience with leveraged finance in an asset manager or restructuring advisor setting and relevant academic credentials.
- Experience in the buy-side is a must (min 2 years).
- Strong analytical ability (quantitative and logical reasoning).
- Prior financial modeling experience.
- Working understanding of Bloomberg and its capabilities.
- Strong communication skills – written and oral.
- Mature and focused work ethic.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience or knowledge of structured credit products, such as CLOs, is a plus.
- Masters, CFA or other professional certifications are a plus.
