The Role
We are recruiting for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join a busy precision engineering company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-quality batch and one-off precision components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC turning machinery.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Select appropriate tooling and machine offsets.
- Produce both batch work and one-off components.
- Run machines efficiently to maximise productivity.
- Carry out basic quality checks on finished parts.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively within the production team.
Skills & Experience
- Previous CNC Turning experience.
- Setting and operating CNC lathes.
- Fanuc controls experience preferred.
- Citizen Sliding Head experience advantageous.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Turning and milling knowledge.
- Experience within a precision engineering or subcontract manufacturing environment.
- Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification desirable.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Candidates with button-pushing/operator experience who are eager to progress into setting will also be considered.
