Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of safety by enforcing strict adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with regulations and ensure that quality processes adhere to relevant standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Use problem-solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5-whys, etc., and lead root-cause investigations.
- Generate reports on quality performance and issues and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections and tests.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes and systems.
- Identify and address non-conformities and deviations from quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures in compliance with Nasmyth standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality requirements for aerospace projects.
- Program and operate CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections of components.
- Interpret and analyse CMM results to assess conformity to specifications.
Role Requirements:
- Knowledge of aerospace safety regulations, standards and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to thorough documentation.
- Relevant experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools for quality data.
- Previous hands-on experience with CMM equipment, including programming, running inspections and analysing results.
