The FT Financial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign (FT FLIC), the fast‑expanding financial literacy charity founded by the Financial Times, promotes financial literacy where it is needed most to have a significant, sustainable societal impact. The charity has been working at the grassroots with young people in schools, gig economy workers and online learning environments across the UK, as well as on a policy level by pursuing lobbying campaigns, with the mission of giving everyone the tools for lifelong money confidence.
FT FLIC has already created an award‑winning financial literacy curriculum for secondary schools and is now working with several national partners to develop a comprehensive catalogue of digital resources for adult learners. With input from FT journalists, production specialists, educators, and beneficiaries, our aim is to create a diverse collection of engaging materials. These resources will incorporate visual, audio, and text‑based content, enhancing our continuously evolving learning hub. The in‑house production includes educational videos accompanied by supporting materials, equipping beneficiaries with essential financial literacy skills and the tools needed to manage everyday finances as well as pursue their financial aspirations.
We are looking for a creative and detail‑oriented Social Media and Video Officer to support the production, editing, and distribution of engaging financial education content across digital platforms. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their skills in video production, social media management, and content strategy, working within a dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate will assist in scripting, filming, editing, and distributing short‑form and long‑form video content, ensuring it is optimised for social media platforms and its purpose. They will collaborate closely with the Video and Social Media Manager to bring financial literacy content to life, educating beneficiaries while maintaining brand consistency and maximising audience engagement. They will also play a key role in optimising content for different social media platforms and monitoring performance to refine strategies.

You will have a strong understanding of social media trends and audience engagement strategies, ensuring our content is both informative and compelling. You will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with the wider team in a fast‑paced, creative environment. There will also be opportunities to contribute ideas for new content formats, support live video sessions, and attend industry events to stay ahead of digital content trends. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in content creation, video editing, and social media strategy while contributing to a mission‑driven organisation that helps people navigate the financial world.
