Our client is a well-established, international and leading Lloyd's Broker, who are consistently thriving, growing and glowing in the London Market Insurance. Prided as a Top Tier Lloyd's Broker, your new company provides a broad range of innovative insurance and reinsurance solutions, across a variety of Non-Marine and Marine business classes. There is now a brand new opening within their hugely successful Marine Cargo Division, as a Broker, where you will be joining an ambitious, successful and entrepreneurial team.
The post-holder will be performing client and market facing Broker duties and will play a pivotal part in assisting with the day-to-day servicing and growth of a lucrative portfolio of North American and International Cargo Risks, biased towards Stock Throughout business.
Role Responsibilities:- Day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of North American and International Cargo Risks
- Building and maintaining client and market relationships
- Providing a first-class service to clients and retail broker partners
- Assisting with enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Negotiating terms with insurers and the placement of risks
- Growing the portfolio and identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling
- Attending industry network events, conferences and travelling for business, when necessary
- Re-Broking renewal business
- Liaising with the technical team to assist with the delivery of insurance documentation
- Performing presentations to new and existing clients
- A minimum of 2 years + of experience required as a Lloyd's Broker (Salary D.O.E)
- Experienced in placing Marine Cargo Risks
- Excellent communication and client facing skills
- Solid negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Open to business travel to North America or International territories, as and when required
