We are working with a London based MGA looking to strengthen their Professional & Financial Risks team with the addition of an Underwriter. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Assistant Underwriter ready to step up, or an Underwriter looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for underwriting a diverse portfolio of Professional & Financial Risks business, with a strong focus on Financial Institutions clients. Classes include:
- Professional Indemnity (PI)
- Cyber
- Directors & Officers (D&O)
- Errors & Omissions (E&O)
- Media Liability
You will work closely with brokers, build strong trading relationships, and play an active role in developing the book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal business within agreed authority levels
- Assess risk exposure and determine appropriate pricing and terms
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships
- Support the growth and profitability of the portfolio
- Collaborate with senior underwriters and wider teams on complex risks
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ insurance experience within an underwriting environment
- Experience within the London Insurance market
- Exposure to Professional & Financial Lines (PI, D&O, Cyber, etc.)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships
