Our client is looking for a dynamic Insurance Account Executive to join their expanding commercial broking team. This role offers the chance to take ownership of an established mid-market portfolio while also playing a key part in driving new business growth.

Key Responsibilities- Account Management
- Manage an existing portfolio of mid-market commercial clients across multiple industries
- Build long-term client relationships through regular contact, renewals, and strategic reviews
- Conduct detailed fact-finds to understand client exposures and insurance needs
- Prepare and present renewal strategies, market submissions, and programme recommendations
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant client documentation
- Broking & Technical Work
- Negotiate competitive terms and enhancements with insurers
- Review policy wordings, endorsements, and schedules
- Support clients through claims, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
- Stay up to date with market trends and regulatory developments
- New Business Development
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities via networking, referrals, marketing, and cross-selling
- Prepare proposals and deliver presentations to prospective clients
- Achieve new business and retention targets
- Compliance & Administration
- Maintain accurate records in line with FCA standards
- Adhere to compliance, conduct risk, and TCF requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the team
- Minimum 5 years commercial insurance experience
- At least 3 years in an Account Executive or Senior Account Handler role
- Strong understanding of mid-market commercial insurance and the broking lifecycle
- Proven relationship management and negotiation skills
- Ability to win, retain, and grow business
- Cert CII / Dip CII (or working towards) highly desirable
- Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills
- Self-driven, target-focused, and collaborative
- £40,000–£60,000 salary + generous bonus
- Support with CII qualifications and ongoing development
- Flexible working (3 days in office / 2 remote)
