The Role:

As a Senior Research Analyst, you will report to the Head of Research and play a critical role in evaluating syndicate relationships, conducting due diligence on new opportunities, and delivering insightful research that supports business decision-making and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of major non-life insurance and reinsurance classes.
  • Evaluate and monitor syndicate performance through meetings and quantitative analysis.
  • Conduct due diligence on new Lloyd’s syndicate opportunities.
  • Draft reports, presentations, and advisory notes for internal and client use.
  • Deliver internal and external presentations, sharing insights and recommendations.
  • Build effective relationships with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on market developments through independent research and collaboration.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong quantitative skills, including financial statement analysis, underwriting development triangles, and catastrophe modeling.
  • Deep understanding of the non-life insurance/reinsurance sector and the Lloyd’s market.
  • Proficient in managing the insurance cycle to deliver long-term returns for investors.
