Our client is a leading London Market Wholesale Broker, with a strong global presence, renowned for delivering bespoke insurance and reinsurance solutions across a broad range of complex risks. This key player within the London Market is now looking to strengthen both its Upstream Energy and Energy Liability Divisions and is now seeking experienced, commercially minded and ambitious Senior Brokers/Producers to support both the servicing and continued growth of the portfolio.

The role will focus primarily on business generated through third-party brokers (predominantly US retail brokers) and via the company's global network. While there is an emphasis on developing new business and expanding the portfolio, there is no expectation to bring an existing book of business. Instead, our client is realistic and is seeking individuals with strong market relationships, technical expertise, and the ability to maximise opportunities by collaborating with the global network, working closely with other divisions, attending networking events and business travel or developing and maintaining relationships.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the team and assist with servicing of the existing portfolio (retail brokers and the company network)
  • Identifying new business opportunities via third-party brokers, company network, cross selling and working collectively with other divisions
  • Attending industry networking events, conferences and business travel to meet prospect and existing clients
  • Building and maintaining client and market relationships
  • Client and Market presentations
  • Negotiating terms with insurers and placing risks

About You

  • 7 years + of Lloyd's Broking experience
  • Experience in Energy Liability Risks or Upstream Energy Risks
  • Solid exposure to US Risks
  • Exceptional client facing and negotiation skills
  • Passionate about developing long-standing client/market relationships
