A well-respected and market-leading Global Lloyd's Broker is now seeking a Technician in both their Marine and Aviation Divisions. Within these exciting opportunities, the Technician will be responsible for performing premium processing duties and will assist in providing full technical support across post-placement activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Process insurance premiums, return premiums, and adjustments in accordance with market practices and internal procedures.
- Data Entry of Marine/Aviation Risks.
- A&S Submission of premium bordereau to DXC Technologies.
- Checking and processing MRC Slips and Endorsements.
- Production of periodic reports and statistical information to placing team.
- Reconcile premium accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Liaise with brokers, underwriters, insurers, and clients to resolve queries and outstanding balances.
- Monitor aged debt and credit, supporting collection and settlement activities.
- Ensure compliance with Lloyd’s market requirements and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate records within relevant systems and ensure audit trails are complete.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting and analysis.
- Assist with system improvements and process optimisation initiatives.
About You
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Premium Technician role within a Lloyd’s Broker or London Market environment.
- Strong understanding of insurance premium processing, including Lloyd’s and company market practices.
- Proficiency in accounting and broking systems (e.g., Xchanging, Bureau, or similar platforms).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage high volumes of data and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
