We are working on behalf of our well-respected client who are seeking a highly organised Insurance Technician with a strong administration background to support a busy underwriting function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structured processes, documentation, and ensuring operational accuracy. While exposure to data and insurance operations is valuable, extensive hands-on administration experience is essential. You’ll play a key role in keeping processes running smoothly, ensuring documentation is accurate, and supporting the wider team through high-quality administrative delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Administration & Documentation – managing policy records, endorsements, and documentation with precision
  • Administrative Support to Underwriting – handling day-to-day operational tasks to enable underwriters to focus on decision-making
  • Data Processing & Validation – maintaining accurate records and supporting data quality checks
  • Premium Processing & Billing Administration – supporting invoicing, reconciliation, and payment tracking
  • Quote Management – logging, allocating, and tracking quotes efficiently
  • General Administrative Coordination – ensuring all processes are completed within required timelines and standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong administration background (this is the most important requirement)
  • Proven experience in a high-volume administrative or operational role
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Confident handling of documentation, processes, and structured workflows
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office tools

Desirable:

  • Experience within insurance operations, underwriting support, or policy administration
  • Exposure to data handling, reconciliation, or reporting
