Are you a Conduct Risk specialist who enjoys taking ownership, challenging the status quo, and driving meaningful change? We're partnering with a highly respected specialist insurer operating in the Lloyd's and wider insurance market to recruit a Compliance Manager – Conduct Risk. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an established Compliance Manager or a high-performing Senior Compliance professional ready to step into a management-level position.

This role sits at the heart of the business, providing the opportunity to shape conduct risk strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and drive positive customer outcomes across a dynamic and growing international organisation.

As the Conduct Risk lead within the Compliance function, you'll act as the subject matter expert on a broad range of conduct-related matters including:

  • Complaints Handling
  • Conduct Risk Frameworks
  • Regulatory Change

You'll work closely with senior leadership, underwriting teams, operations, and international stakeholders to ensure conduct risk remains embedded across the business whilst supporting commercial growth.

We're looking for an individual who is naturally proactive, enjoys solving problems independently, and has the confidence to challenge, influence and drive improvements across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the Compliance SME for all conduct-related matters.
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused conduct risk advice across the business.
  • Lead reviews of products, customer journeys, customer communications and financial promotions.
  • Drive Consumer Duty implementation, oversight and reporting.
  • Oversee complex complaints and conduct-related incidents, identifying trends and root causes.
  • Develop and enhance conduct risk policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Produce insightful MI, reporting and Board-level conduct risk analysis.
  • Deliver conduct-related training and support colleagues across the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify risks, improve controls and implement practical solutions.

We're keen to speak with individuals who have experience within the Lloyd's market, MGA, insurer, broker or wider UK insurance sector and who possess strong conduct risk expertise.

Additional requirements include:

  • Experience within a second-line Compliance function.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Experience designing, implementing or enhancing conduct risk frameworks and controls.
  • A commercial mindset and pragmatic approach to regulatory compliance.
  • Enjoys building and improving frameworks.

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where Compliance is viewed as a strategic business partner rather than a box-ticking exercise. You'll have genuine visibility with senior leadership, the ability to influence decision-making, and the platform to build your reputation as a conduct risk specialist.

Whether you're an experienced Manager looking for your next challenge or a talented Compliance professional ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is NOT open to candidates seeking VISA sponsorship or candidates waiting for VISA extensions and/or decisions in the short to medium term.
