Group Finance Director required by this dynamic and rapidly expanding Insurance Group. As a result of significant growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to lead commercial and finance decision making processes. The main purpose of the role is to oversee financial analysis and support the reporting and management information for pillars within the group; understanding significant drivers impacting performance. Your focus will be on the group enterprise, whilst working alongside key holding company colleagues including the UK & International CFO and Group CFO.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, oversight and accountability for the preparation of internal MI and legal entity results.
- Actively participate in, and provide leadership over, the budgeting and planning process and ensure budget and forecast processes are efficient, timely and accurate.
- Oversee all regulatory reporting for the group.
- Oversee credit control and cash management functions, including cash receipt and application, disbursements, reconciliation and safeguarding of assets and associated accounting.
- Champion continuous improvement and ensure teams are continually working to improve processes.
- Oversee preparation of tax filings and provisions, tax planning and strategy.
- Assist local management in presenting new business initiatives and/or major project or expense plans.
- Represent group Finance in strategic accounting, finance and business initiatives as they arise.
- Build and maintain a close working relationship with the subsidiary Group CFO to ensure the group’s financial reporting needs are met with effective financial controls in place.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified accountant having previously held the role of Finance Director/Controller within an insurance or broking environment. An appreciation for agile and high growth, entrepreneurial environments would be a distinct advantage, as well as knowing some of the UK reporting requirements and private equity ownership structures. Strong commercial understanding, providing financial insight and analysis to support the board. Demonstrable track record of being able to develop and influence overall business strategy and leading finance department initiatives to implement strategy.
